CNC machining prices are calculated in hours and range from as little as PLN 135 per hour to PLN 250 per hour.
What do CNC milling prices depend on?
CNC machining prices depend on many factors. Among them are mainly:
- The type and grade of material used from which the part is made – the cheapest to machine are ordinary plastics such as PE500 or PE1000- that is, High Density Polyethylene. Another equally cheap material for machining is aluminum-it provides good strength with low weight and good machinability. The most expensive will be unusual stainless steel alloys and hard tool steels, for which expensive tools are required.
- The degree of complexity of the workpiece – that is, the dimensional tolerances of the component in which it must be made. The more precise the element is to be, the higher the price will be.
- The number of pieces in the order – in many cases, the machining time itself is very short compared to the time required for production preparation. For example, there are workpieces whose CNC milling takes 5min/piece, while the production preparation of this particular workpiece takes 45 minutes or even an hour.
- The size of the part in question – the larger the part, the larger the machine needed, and the larger the machine, the higher its price. Therefore, the man-hour of a larger machine will be higher than that of a smaller one, and similarly, larger workpieces are more expensive.
Prices of Wire Electrical Discharge Machining WEDM
WEDM prices range from as little as PLN 150/h to as much as PLN 250/h.
The price of EDM brass wire cutting depends primarily on the complexity of the geometry of the part to be cut, its size and the number of parts to be cut. Other factors influencing the price are the grade of the material, the thickness and shape of the wire, as well as the complexity of the process and the time required to complete the job. As a result, prices for EDM cutting can vary depending on the specifics of the order. Before deciding on an EDM cutting service, it is advisable to consult with manufacturers who are able to estimate the cost of making a particular part.
